We move the hiring process along quickly!Description:Job Summary: Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, hydraulic system, pneumatic tools, electric components, electronic systems and sensors, conveyor systems, typically utilized on production machines and equipment. They will specifically be working with press brakes, turrets, lasers, panel bender, etc. (metal fab machines)Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Observes production systems and equipment utilized in operation, diagnoses malfunctions and makes appropriate repairs.Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.Makes approved modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production needs.Repairs or replaces defective parts. Lubricates and cleans parts.Starts devices to test their performance. Make adjustments as necessary.Discusses and coordinates repairs with peers based on issues, skillsets, to ensure optimal production schedules are maintained.Modifies work schedule as necessary to make repairs and maintain critical equipment.Effectively communicates and coordinates with factory service providers to ensure equipment is properly maintained, repaired efficiently resulting is maximizing equipment green light time.Install new equipment as necessary and move existing equipment based on business needs.Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, welder, and other metalworking tools to fabricate and repair parts.Effectively install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, PLC, and hydraulic issues on production equipment, conveyor systems, and facilities related equipment within the plant.Keeps accurate maintenance and preventative maintenance records and insures that all revisions to equipment and tools are properly recorded.Determines equipment/parts needed for repair. Works with Supply Chain department to purchase.Utilizes the CMMS module in the ERP system.Keeps shop and work area neat and orderly.Solve a variety of practical problems by using past experience and logic.Makes general repairs to building and grounds.Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Appropriately respond to chemical spill incidents involving both hazardous (ignitable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) and non-hazardous chemicals to prevent a negative impact to employee health and safety as well as the environment, including containment, cleanup, and disposal of spills.
