On any given day, you'll:

  • Perform construction observation on transportation projects.
  • Perform quantity measurements and computations, record keeping, contractor pay estimate preparation and review of contractor progress; materials testing; field staking and general inspection for transportation projects.
  • Interpret construction drawings and specifications and take appropriate action to ensure the project is constructed in conformance with the requirements of the project construction contract.
  • Maintain client relations while in the field.
  • Prepare reports, review design standards and code requirements, and conduct field investigation of design problems.


Required qualifications:

  • Previous WisDOT transportation construction observation experience
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
