Our client, a leading innovator in air-blast technology, is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join their dedicated team in Langhorne, PA.

The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator will play a crucial role in coordinating and driving the company's environmental, health, and safety programs. This includes fostering a safety-first culture, providing positive reinforcement, and coaching plant team members at all levels. The successful candidate will champion employee empowerment, encouraging the identification and addressing of safety concerns and generating new ideas related to safety and health.

This is a brand-new role within the company, reflecting its commitment to achieving an interdependent safety-first culture. The role will involve close collaboration with team members across various departments, from fabrication to engineering to leadership, to ensure the effective implementation of safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Champion employee empowerment to identify and address safety concerns, generate new ideas related to safety and health
  • Actively participate in safety committee meetings and huddles.
  • Manage the rollout of EHS changes, including implementing policies, developing SOPs and Job Hazard Assessments.
  • Track, deliver, and coordinate safety training for employees, including new hires, and assist in managing the contractor safety program.
  • Identify non-compliant issues, help determine corrective/preventative actions, and ensure closure of actions.
  • Lead corrective actions and changes generated from internal hot sheets.
  • Effectively interact with all internal functional job levels to maximize the effectiveness of the safety improvement process.
  • Conducting annual training reviews and audits for compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must have 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have 2+ years participating in an Environmental, Health, and Safety program.
  • Ability to complete OSHA Safety (30-hour course); or be OSHA certified.
  • Must be able to spend 60% of time on the production floor with employees.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong organization and follow-up skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related discipline is a plus.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000
Location: Langhorne, PA
Hours: 8am - 4:30 pm
