OVERVIEW:

As the Procurement Specialist II with KSB USA, you will order goods and services in adherence to the requirements outlined in purchase requisitions and other such administrative purchases. You will be excellent at multitasking with customer order managers, KSB factories, external suppliers, inventory control, shop personnel and internal customers.

To be successful in this role you will have strong organizational skills with attention to detail, capability of efficiently managing time in a dynamic setting while continuously demonstrating self-sufficiency in performing the responsibilities of the role. The Procurement Specialist II is on the Procurement Team reporting to the Procurement Manager. We work in a highly-matrixed environment with critical internal and external stakeholders, you should be comfortable working in this model.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responds promptly in adherence to parameters for processing of purchase requests
  • Submit and handle purchase orders in a timely and accurate fashion while following procedural guidelines
  • Proficiently handle necessary information to ensure prompt delivery within specified parameters
  • Monitor orders and efficiently convey delivery schedules to requisitioners following service-level agreements
  • Sustain a productive interface with internal customers by providing compliant (timely and accurate) information
  • Partner KSB factories and external vendors to provide qualifying materials/services within timelines
  • Proactively work to optimize stock levels to fulfill internal and external customer needs
  • Support in maintaining Item Master records and contribute to the implementation and functioning of ERP systems
  • Ensure the integrity of procurement and order processing files by maintaining comprehensive and accurate records to facilitate efficient access to information
  • Contribute to the continuous assessment of supplier performance
  • Provide backup for other supply chain specialists and department resources
  • Other duties as specifically assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma AND a minimum of two years of relevant working experience is required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effectively utilizes ERP system
  • Possesses robust analytical abilities and a methodical approach to overcoming obstacles
  • Successfully negotiates with both internal and external vendors, as well as counterparts within and outside the organization
  • College or technical degree, preferred.
