Accounting Operations Manager

Salary: $105,000/yearly


Supervisory Responsibilities:

- Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for billing, cash receipts and application, and accounts payable.

- Recruits and hires accounting staff and conducts performance evaluations.

- Coordinates training programs for new staff and ongoing training needs for current staff in a continuous staff development environment.


Essential Functions

- Conduct the daily accounting operations functions with a continuous improvement approach.

- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for operational accounting transactions.

- Prepares operational scorecards and provides analysis with an emphasis on timely and accurate operational accounting activities.

- Supports the production of periodic financial reports through direct oversight of all transaction subsystem close and reconciliation processes; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.

- Prepares or reviews monthly and yearly account reconciliations for accuracy and timeliness.

- Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors to provide information needed for the annual external audit.

- Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.

- Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on operational accounting activities.

- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

- Additional duties assigned by the Controller as needed.


Requirements

- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with emphasis on accounting required.

- Five years or more of related experience required.

- 5+ years of previous PDI/Enterprise experience. (Preferred)

- Intermediate-level computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent time management and organizational skills.

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple interruptions

- Demonstrated record of working collaboratively with other professionals.


Miscellaneous

- Reports to: Controller

- Reporting Facility: Clipper Petroleum Support Center

- Work Schedule: Monday Friday 8AM 5PM
