Our client is an architecture, engineering, planning, interior design, landscape architecture, and development services firm that brings talents and teams from all over the world together to create structures, spaces, and experiences.


GENERAL SUMMARY

The Project Captain reports to a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager and is responsible for focusing on a particular aspect of a project.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role may supervise Designer I.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Produce contract documents conforming to building codes and zoning regulations.
  • Work with engineering consultants.
  • Check shop drawings.
  • Conduct site visits.
  • Assist the Project Leader as needed.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Good working knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and approval processes.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of building systems and site requirements such as Structural, MEP, Civil, and Geo-Tech.
  • Highly organized, detail-driven, and conscientious.
  • Able to work well with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Proficient in current versions of Revit, AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor s or master s degree in architecture.
  • A minimum of 2 years of construction experience or a combination of 4 years of experience in commercial retail/mixed-use or multi-family housing projects is required.
  • Licensure in architecture is preferred.
