Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior BIM & Design Manager to lead and develop our project engineering team. The Design Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing and implementing standards, practices, and workflows for our growing design department. This individual will ensure the quality, clarity, and accuracy of all design deliverables, leveraging their expertise in Revit and technical design review.


The Senior BIM & Design Manager reports to the Vice President of Operations.


Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project engineers to deliver high-quality design solutions for autonomous store projects.

Establish and implement design standards, practices, and processes to optimize efficiency and quality within the design team.

Interface with clients and vendors to understand project requirements, address inquiries, and ensure alignment on design objectives and deliverables.

Review all drawing sets for completeness, accuracy, and technical clarity, ensuring adherence to project requirements and industry standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, architecture, and construction, to develop integrated design solutions.

Identify and implement tools, software, and systems to streamline design workflows and enhance productivity.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes and deliverables.

Provide technical guidance and support to project engineers, resolving complex design issues and ensuring best practices are followed.

Prioritize team members workloads, allocate resources, and meet project deadlines.

Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to design and construction.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Proven experience (5+ years) in leading and managing design teams, preferably in a construction or architectural environment.

Expertise in Revit and other design software, with a strong focus on technical design review.

Extensive knowledge of architectural and engineering principles, building codes, and construction standards.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of design documentation.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement design standards and best practices.

Experience in identifying and implementing design tools, software, and systems to enhance team efficiency.

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Experience with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) design or electrical engineering is a plus.

Familiarity with BIM 360, BIM Collaborate, or Autodesk Vault a plus.

Salary: $101,000 $111,000 per year (Commensurate with Experience)
