We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our expanding business. This position will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) mission.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in collaborative environment with various project teams to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) mission.
  • Responsible for reviewing, entering, and tracking consumables & RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) requests; monitoring and placing orders for associated materials; tracking shipping status, and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Coordinate and perform logistical activities in areas such as maintenance, repair, supply, inventory, shipping, receipt, and property accountability for DHS Credentialing Facilities (DCF) and other PIV Card Issuer entities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for shipping and receipt of materials and products at the HSPD-12 warehouse in Sterling, VA.
  • Clarify end-user requirements and determine if any existing supplies, equipment, services, or commodities meets customer requirements.
  • Gather information from DCFs and other PIV Card Issuer entities to create reports as needed.
  • Track, monitor and calculate material usage.
  • Respond to requests and communication from DCF locations within the DHS HSPD-12 Enterprise.
  • Duties as assigned.


Position Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, engineering, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience in logistics support, supply chain management, or maintenance operations, preferably in a federal contracting environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with government systems, equipment, or infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as logistics management systems, inventory control software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Familiarity with RMAs required.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce a plus.
  • Certification through Sunflower Asset Management System (SAMs) will be needed.

Clearance Requirement
US Citizenship required. Active DHS Public Trust preferred. Ability to obtain clearance required.
