The Wilner Group has partnered with our client a full-service building automation, design-build, and mechanical contracting firm trusted by Fortune 500 clients. Together we are searching for a Commercial HVAC Technician to join their team at their South Amboy, NJ location. This is a full-time, On-site position with a compensation of $30-$50/hr. based on experience. Requirements:
- Travel to customer locations, often multiple daily, as scheduled, and have knowledge and capability to complete repairs on compressors, condensers, evaporator motors, piping, control wiring, etc.
- Inspect existing HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety, perform consultations with customers to determine needs, and discuss all solution methods.
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVACR equipment to ensure proper HVAC and/or refrigeration operation by established procedures and according to code.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of commercial service experience.
- Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants. (Universal or Type I & Type II, 410A)
- Technical high school certification and/or associate degree from an accredited HVAC program.
- Safety-minded and knowledgeable of OSHA & NFPA safety regulations.
- Current valid driver s license for operating motor vehicles in the state of New Jersey.
- Must be available for 24-Hour Emergency On-Call Service, once a month (Additional Pay + Overtime)
- available for seasonal overtime during the summer and winter months.
- strong troubleshooting skills and understanding of commercial HVAC/R including, but not limited to; Split Systems, Package Units, Ductless Systems, Heat Pumps, Cooling Towers, Boilers, PTAC units, VAV s, etc.,
