Under the direction of the Head Cook, the Cook Assistant provides assistance in implementing activities, record keeping and reporting; training, and supporting and collaborating to ensure the effective delivery of nutrition services.
Essential Functions These essential functions include but are not limited to, the following: The agency may identify and include additional essential functions.
Planning and Organizing Sets up food carts and covers food before serving to units.
Implementing Activities Prepares and serves meals according to guidelines.
Cleans work areas, equipment, and utensils in accordance with sanitary rules.
Stores food and supplies properly in the designated area(s).
Assists in providing nutrition education activities for classroom staff and children.
