How you make a difference:

This position covers night shift, 11pm-7:30am; Weekday Shift Differential: $6.50/hour and Weekend Shift Differential: $8.00/hour

The Nursing Supervisor at Hampstead oversees and delegates professional nursing care across the hospital during designated shifts, ensuring adherence to quality care and customer service benchmarks. This role involves vigilant monitoring of clinical operations to maintain compliance with Hampstead Hospital and Residential Treatment Facility (HHRTF) policies, ANA Psychiatric Nurse Standards, and established procedures. The Nursing Supervisor fosters staff education, safety, and performance enhancement, while cultivating robust communication with senior management, physicians, and the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

Exhibit proficiency in psychiatric nursing, showcasing leadership qualities through effective communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
Supervise staff during designated shifts by monitoring performance, ensuring policy compliance, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels for optimal patient care.
Manage overtime and oversee care quality across units during assigned shifts, providing clinical guidance for patient condition changes and assisting Charge Nurses as required.
Deliver training, coaching, and counseling to enhance staff performance, perform level of care evaluations, and ensure adherence to documentation standards.
Champion a patient safety culture, encouraging error reporting, participating in safety training programs, and contributing to Performance Improvement initiatives, aligned with Joint Commission and CMS standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

Graduate of an accredited RN program.
BSN preferred.

Experience

Minimum two (2) years of current psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
Progressive leadership experience.

Licenses/Certifications

Licensed in state of employment
Specialty Certification preferred
CPR Certification (within 3 months of hire)
CPI Certification (within 3 months of hire)

Compliance

Corporate Compliance (within 2 months of hire)
