Bonita Security Officer


Job Details

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents, guests, and associates, while greeting each with a warm and hospitable demeanor.

The following duties are expectations for this position.This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • While assigned to the security booth, security personnel will verify the scheduled presence of all residents, guests, and associates, as well as third party contractors on the grounds.
  • Security personnel will conduct patrols of both the interior and exterior of the property to maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, guests, associates, their personal property as well as company property. Security personnel will also ensure that all doors and gates are securely locked.
  • Report any suspicious activities or persons.
  • Assist with resident lockouts to their apartments
  • Participate in resident elopements
  • Assist with emergency calls when necessary
  • Direct EMS and other Emergency personnel when on property to needed location
  • Complete daily security/incident reports and distribute them to the appropriate parties in a timely manner
  • Ensure that proper notifications are made concerning a major incident or emergency
  • Ensure that associate vehicles are parked in authorized areas. Enforce parking rules and regulations
  • Minor maintenance requests are to be handled by security personnel once the maintenance department has completed their shifts
  • Proper phone etiquette while assigned to the concierge desk


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred but not required.
  • One year experience in security, preferred but not required.
  • Class D Security License is preferred, but not required.
  • Prior Law Enforcement or Military experience preferred, but not required
