Job Title: Project Manager, Commercial-Scale Solar
Location: Hybrid (with site travel within California as necessary)

Position Overview: The company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of commercial-scale solar construction projects in California. As a key member of the team, the Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a remote position with the expectation of site travel as required to various project locations across California.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of project planning, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk management.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary to meet milestones and deadlines.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying and addressing any variances to maintain financial targets.
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect construction progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and resolving any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to optimize project delivery and drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present project status reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended actions to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of managing commercial-scale solar construction projects from inception to completion, preferably in California.
- Strong understanding of solar energy systems, construction methods, and industry regulations.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources effectively, and deliver results under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- PMP is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to travel to project sites within California as needed.
