Key Responsibilities:
As a Funeral Director/Embalmer at Rest Haven Funeral Home & Crematory, you will be responsible for providing compassionate support, guidance, and direction to grieving families during their difficult times. Your duties will include:
- Arranging Funerals: Collaborate with families to plan and organize funeral services, ensuring their wishes are met.
- Embalming and Preparation: Skillfully embalm and prepare deceased individuals for viewing and burial.
- Conducting Services: Lead funeral ceremonies, memorial services, and graveside committals with empathy and professionalism.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including death certificates, permits, and other legal documents.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to families, answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering support.
Qualifications:
- Valid funeral director and embalmer license in the state of Maryland.
- Valid Driver's License
- Associate degree in mortuary science or related field and 5 years experience.
- Compassionate: Show empathy and understanding to grieving families.
- Organized: Handle multiple tasks efficiently and maintain accurate records.
- Professional: Represent the funeral home with dignity and respect.
