Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to work at the plant-side level and be responsible for the day to day activities related to Shipping and Receiving functions. This position has the responsibility train, mentor, and direct the hourly staff. The Coordinator disseminate information as received from Management to associates, responds to and directs questions and concerns in the manner set forth by company hand book.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities /Weight of Importance %

Manage Warehouse Operations for Proper Inventory Levels: 30%:

Manpower Review and Placement: 25%

Monthly Reporting of Department Measurables: 10%

Communicate with Customer: 5%

Utilize Working Knowledge of Shipping and ERP Systems: 5%

Analysis of DTR's and Other Various Customer Concerns: 5%

Recommend Associates for Disciplinary Actions: 5%

Develop Improvement Plans to Countermeasure Problems or Concerns: 5%

Prepare Various Related Documents for Reporting Purposes: 5%

Develop and Maintains Training Records: 5%

Requirements

Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, and Skills):

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year related work experience
  • Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties
Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
  • Inventory management experience
  • ERP Experience
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to promote and carry out the "Keihin Philosophy" and "5 Joys"
  • Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and be highly motivated
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy
  • Confers with and prepares reports for upper management and possibly other Keihin companies
  • Maintains clean and orderly work environment
  • Conducts performance evaluations for subordinate personnel and provides support / training as needed
  • Provides strong leadership to subordinate personnel
  • Interacts with various levels of associates
  • Maintains knowledge of all processes, procedures, and equipment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization needed
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Will supervise associates.
