Logistics and Customs Compliance Manager
Role Overview:
The Logistics and Customs Compliance Manager is directly responsible for managing the supply chain and customs compliance activities across all brands into and out of North America. Manage, track, analyze, and optimize all Inbound Freight to the DC and Outbound Prepaid Freight to Retail, Ecommerce, and/or Wholesale accounts. Cross functional collaboration and communication with Planning, Customer Service, sales, production teams and Receiving groups to ensure visibility, problem solving and on time deliveries. The manager will manage ad hoc projects as needed, improve and implement processes, develop and analyze global supply chain metrics and reporting. Experience with Infor Nexus, SAP and system integrations is a plus.
Logistics and Customs Compliance Manager Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and Communicate closely with all cross functional internal and external business partners to ensure the smooth movement of freight.
- Analyze and optimize logistics processes, use data to help drive business decisions.
- Maintain ERP system updates for inbound /outbound shipments as applicable.
- Lead Brand RFP s for freight service providers. This includes both long term pricing and short term spot quotes .
- Manage process improvements to enhance internal controls, streamline business processes, reduce lead time and reduce costs.
- Develop an Inbound and Outbound measurement report for accurate freight tracking, freight spend forecasting and carrier service performance.
- Approval and audit of all inbound and outbound freight bills and partnering with the Accounts Payable team to ensure timely payment of invoices. Work with Credit and Collections in the efficient processing/approval of carrier claims.
- Analyze carrier data to ensure optimum performance and coordinate with providers to continually optimize transit times and service performance.
- Own and ensure efficient, compliance processes for the assignment of harmonized tariff classifications for all product lines.
Logistics and Customs Compliance Manager Key Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills between cross functional teams
- 7+ years experience in logistics/compliance
- Experience managing teams Background in Supply Chain and Logistics
- Experienced in dealing with Customs compliance
- Extremely Analytical and Organized Proficient in Microsoft Excel
