Event Coordinator Intern

**Training Provided****:** The intern will be trained by the Brand Manager on the W8T 2 TXT Program, as well as any other projects that might be assigned during the internship.
**Learning Outcomes/Experience****:** This internship opportunity will give the student experience in scheduling and facilitating an educational program that includes giving presentations to various groups, insight on the day to day operation of a real life Marketing Department, and the opportunity to interface with other departments within the company.
**Short-term and Long-Term Assignments****:** The Event Coordinator will assist the Marketing Department by scheduling and presenting our W8T 2 TXT Program at local events. This will involve setting up and transporting all W8T 2 TXT Program materials including golf cart, traffic cones, laptop, and projector for presentations. The Event Coordinator will work partly on site along with some traveling to give presentations.
**Preferred Degree Programs****:** Marketing, Communication Studies, or Hospitality.
**Preferred Hours****:** Approximately 20 hours per week but could fluctuate depending on event schedules. 15 weeks total beginning the end of March or early April.
**Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications****:**
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of local communities throughout Western Kansas
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
- Availability to work some evenings and weekends
- Ability to maintain a valid Kansas drivers license
