Position Summary: Senior Benefits Analyst - Absence Management

The Senior Benefits Analyst-Absence Management is responsible for researching, analyzing, evaluating, and administering corporate benefit plans and programs to meet organizational objectives. Oversees and supports assigned programs, including leave of absence programs, paid time off, short- and long-term disability, and salary continuation.


Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manages policy oversight and vendor management of leave programs supporting absences, associated payments, and other programs as assigned.
  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of all government regulations and ensures compliance with all state and federal laws related to assigned benefits programs.
  • Advises employees on internal benefits policies, guidelines, and documentation requirements.
  • Provides guidance, training, and support to team members.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure benefits information is accurate and up to date in all applicable systems.
  • Produces and manages reporting metrics and analytics for benefits programs.
  • Conducts audits of benefits packages and policies to ensure compliance with government regulations and plan guidelines.
  • Responds to escalated employee inquiries related to benefits and leave information.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in human resources or a related area.
  • 5+years of benefits and leave administration experience.
  • Vendor management experience.
