Position Responsibilities: Reporting to the COO for a logistics company focused on courier and freight brokerage services. Established in 1951, with over 50 associates, and multiple locations based in California, they are considered one of the largest couriers in the state. They pride themselves on customer service, customizing needs, and following through on all commitments. The company s service lines include multiple expedited services, consolidation, distribution, warehousing, truckload, and LTL.
The Director of IT is responsible for keeping the company s system up, running and accessible to both the company and their customers. This person will install and upgrade systems, ensure the best security processes, and have a strong disaster recovery plan in place. Maintain third party systems and software. Lead a team of developers and technical staff. Versed in HTML, JavaScript, C#, classic ASP, mobile application (developed in React). Their goal is to drive an increase in revenue, optimization of costs, and expansion of profitability.
Background Required: - IT Leadership (supervisor, manager, director, 1 yr., 2-4 people)
- System maintenance (24/7 accessibility, upgrades, installations, disaster recovery plan)
- Manage workload of team, as well as hiring, training, and development
- Cyber security (upgrade, maintain, and implement new software and hardware)
- Domain based network (Windows Desktops and Servers)
- Meraki or Cisco, DNS, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, SQL Server, Linux (or Unix), C#, Visual Bastic, HTML, JavaScript, React.
- Computer literate: Microsoft Suite as well as coding languages
- Education: Bachelor s degree
- Residence: Greater Los Angeles Area (no relocation)
