Job Details

The EHS Coordinator provides support in all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) functions and coordinates plant wide safety and environmental efforts and compliance. Responsibilities may include but not limited to EHS specific projects, program implementation, audits, training, compliance, risk assessments, worker s compensation, and EHS systems administration.


Description


  • Represent facility on all EHS audits.
  • Direct and oversee Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Safety Topic training.
  • Work cooperatively with federal, state, and local agencies to ensure company compliance with safety codes.
  • Conduct safety inspections and accident reports identifying root cause and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
  • Maintain a standardized record keeping system for all accidents with review and follow-up.
  • Play key role in all Walk-thru inspections of facility.
  • Direct and oversee New Hire Safety orientation.
  • Ensure environmental record keeping is properly maintained.
  • Perform safety training sessions and hold toolbox talks with plant operators.
  • Manage EHS through ISO-based management platform and reporting tools.
  • Perform routine tasks such as project safety plans, job hazard analyses, incident investigations, workplace observations and ensuring safety equipment is maintained.
  • Assist with facility wide programs such as environmental testing and safety awards.
  • Report safety performance to EHS Manager and EHS Supervisor.



Requirements


  • Minimum of 30 Hour General Industry Card. Degree Preferred.
  • 2+ years of related work experience preferred.
  • Good general problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge and current understanding of all applicable regulations including federal, state, and local laws and standards. (US EPA, OSHA, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Effective written & verbal communication.
  • Moderate project management- Safety meetings, Safety committees, Leadership meetings, help manage ISO program.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during shift.
