Job Description


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Work closely with leadership and subject matter experts to curate compelling content for specific RFQ/P sections (e.g. tailored approaches and unique relevant experience).
  • Create, manage, and update technical narratives (services, processes, etc.) within Swinerton's Knowledge Base (Unanet) to serve as firm's national content library.
  • Ensure that generated content is accurate, adheres to Swinerton s Writing Style Guide, and tailored to nuanced requirements of each opportunity.
  • Investigate the project background and client profiles, and work with the Pursuit Champion and Marketing Proposal Lead to develop and incorporate appropriate message points and owner needs into proposal narratives.
  • Coach project team members in development of bullet points and summaries for response narratives.
  • Gather and compose technical information into digestible proposal narratives.
  • Work in close partnership with creative services/visual communications team members to create strong corresponding graphics.
  • Provide editing and proofreading services to the regional Marketing team.
  • Serve as an internal mentor/trainer in writing fundamentals.
  • Stay abreast to construction trends and market focuses to generate new ideas to draw industry attention.
  • Ensure brochures, website, and blogs are current and contain latest content.
  • Together with Director of Marketing and Communication Manager, identify and repurpose top-performing pieces to further reach and expand audience.
  • Brainstorm and strategize with larger marketing and communications team to develop new ideas for content (case studies, award nominations, presentation synopsis, etc.).
  • Other writing and editing responsibilities as assigned.


MINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or Business Writing, or related studies with degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to write effectively and communicate in a clear and compelling manner, with a strong command of English grammar and unwavering attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management skills.
  • Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills with a hands-on and team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite (primarily InDesign) for professional document design, layout, and production is a plus.
