****Position Summary****

The Inventory Control function of Nestle USA directly manages inventory moves for all finished and semi-finished goods in the physical logistics network for all divisions, brands, and temperature types. The scope of responsibility begins at production declaration (including Co-Manufacturing) and ends at successful shipment / invoice creation. This includes all inventory located in company owned or 3PL warehouses as well as in transit inventory including pallet platforms such as CHEP. The group interfaces continuously to provide insight with several functions throughout the value chain including: Deployment, Transportation, Physical Logistics, Customer Service, Co Manufacturing and SC Finance.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Inventory Control Specialist reports to an Inventory Supervisor. A Specialist will ensure timely reporting of information, working in collaboration with cross functional internal and external teams to resolve issues and identify process improvements. Individual will work in a dynamic environment where continuous improvement is expected. The Inventory Control Specialist is a subject matter expert and supports the Inventory Control Senior Coordinators by being a secondary point to solve problems that arise. Strong, positive, collaborative communication skills, proven team focus and the ability to be fact based, results focused, with minimal supervision are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Act as support over assigned division, sites, or functional responsibility

a. Identify/Resolve re-occurring issues, which may include system and operational issues.

b. Identify/Implement process improvements/Contribute to Cost Savings Initiatives

c. Facilitate cross functional meetings to resolve open issues as needed

d. Support activities for new site startups.

e. Assist in ensuring Nestl requirements are maintained at all sites

f. Prepare monthly reporting and analysis

g. Provide quarterly results to Divisions

2. Assist in cross-training of existing team of Inventory Control Coordinators and training of new hires to ensure internal alignment with EDI/Nestl requirements.

3. Act as Subject Matter Experts and collaboratively assist in resolving issues as they arise.

4. Effective and timely communication and escalation of any potential concerns and divisional challenges to Management.

5. Ad Hoc Analysis and Issue Resolution

6. Lead/provide support in conducting 3rd party physical inventories as required.

7. Support implementations in conjunction with the Supervisor, of new co-manufacturers and/or new warehouses and ensures that new sites comply with Nestl reporting requirements and IC standards.

8. Develop value-added reporting to drive inventory accountability to the appropriate levels in the organization.

9. Be proactive in conducting ad hoc, fact-based analysis to anticipate and resolve potential problems

10. Develop best practices. Document and share across the organization by gaining consensus from all affected teams in partnership with your supervisor.

11. Educate operations teams on variance causes, impacts and solutions.

12. Other duties, project work, travel as required to maintain business operations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 3 years related work experience and/or inventory control preferred

Bachelors Degree in pertinent field preferred
