The Technical Support Specialists duty is to provide technical support and assistance to end users regarding hardware and software issues. The work of the Technical Support Specialist may extend over several areas of expertise handling all manner of technical requests.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
* Provide expert Business Technology guidance to end users.
* Installation and configuration computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
* Maintenance and monitoring of computer desktop, mobile, and tablet systems.
* Logging the queries of customers and employees.
* Analysis of call logs in order to discover any underlying issues or trends.
* Manage new enhancement requests and maintain records and fix results.
* Diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
* Testing and evaluating new technology.
* Responding to call-out in a timely fashion.
* Manage all types of business technology projects, monitor applications and provide analytical solutions to resolve technical issues.
* Collect data concerning systemic issues and escalate solutions.
* Provide system configuration and application upgrade support.
* Communicate with business users in order to interpret requirements for Technology Solutions groups.
* Analyze and develop plans to improve the quality of the Technology Solution systems.
* Maintain system and data integrity during change control and management processes.
* Prepare and present reports to managers, update training material and guides when required.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
* 2 years customer service experience in a helpdesk environment
* Minimum of 2 years of technical support experience
* Proficient in the use of online and remote-connecting software
* Demonstrated ability to function in a non-scripted helpdesk environment. This position requires the ability to examine, question, explore and troubleshoot a variety of issues
