Description
DiRx Pharmacy Department is seeking Florida-registered Pharmacy Technicians for our Prescriber and Patient outreach team. This team works to get prescriptions from the prescriber or previous pharmacy on the patient's behalf. The ideal candidate will possess professional phone etiquette, the ability to multi-task effectively, strong organizational skills, and previous pharmacy experience.
This is Full Time 8:30 am to 5 pm EST Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays. Position is ON-SITE
All staff must maintain an active pharmacy technician registration with the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
DUTIES:
- Uses multiple software systems and websites to process orders with their corresponding prescriptions
- Prescription data entry with a high degree of accuracy and speed
- Makes outbound calls to prescribers, pharmacies, and patients
- Takes inbound calls from patients when the question pertains to the pharmacy department
- Escalate requests to the supervising Pharmacist if outside of the technician's scope of responsibility
- Maintain HIPAA compliance in all functions of the position
- Perform other duties as required such as pharmacy housekeeping tasks (dusting workstations, taking out trash, etc.)
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: - Active Pharmacy Technician registration in the State of FL
- Experience working in a mail-order pharmacy preferred
SKILLS: - Good knowledge of prescription drugs, disease states, medical terminology, and ability to read and interpret prescriptions and directions
- Proficiency in Pharmacy computerized systems and software applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to learn new computer systems and adapt to new processes
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team
- Possess problem-solving skills
- Must be flexible to work evenings and/or weekends and occasional extra time as needed
