These concepts permeate all facets of our business and we are actively searching for a like-minded Trade Desk Support to work alongside our various Traders and Portfolio Managers.
This role will leverage strong time management and communication skills and will require comfortability working independently in a self-disciplined environment. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users in the office and working remotely. This position will sit in-person out of our Chicago office.
Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support to traders on the trade desk.
- Confirm trade details and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Monitor trade flow and ensure accurate trade capture.
- Coordinate with various internal teams to ensure timely settlement of trades.
- Assist in the resolution of trade breaks and discrepancies.
- Generate and distribute trade reports as needed.
- Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.
- Occasionally execute trades during system outages to ensure continuous portfolio management and adherence to trading strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in trade support or operations within a financial institution.
- Strong understanding of financial products and trade lifecycle.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience with trade booking systems such as Bloomberg or Reuters is a plus.
- Experience with Trading Technologies, Sterling, Exegy a plus
- Experience dealing with FCMs a plus
- Startup experience a plus
- Options trade support experience a plus
- Familiarity with trade settlement processes and systems.
