At the present time, one vacancy exists for a Part-time Student Support Specialist for MEP - Philadelphia campus within the Migrant Education Program, Student Services Division of the CCIU. This position will work with migrant children in Philadelphia, Bucks, Delaware, and Montgomery counties during the school year.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in related field,preferred
* Bilingual speaking, required (Spanish)
* Experience working with bilingual/bicultural students, preferred
* Experience working with elementary students, or middle/high school students, preferred
* Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant children and families, preferred
* Must have Act 33 and 34 Clearances
* Must have Federal Criminal History record
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Implementation of Migrant Education Summer Program for elementary students in Chester County
2. Work with students in a classroom setting to provide reading, writing, speaking, and listening learning across the content areas
3. Submit weekly lesson plans, implement curriculum as provided, and submit end-of-summer progress reports
4. Provide regular communication with Migrant Education staff
5. Attend summer in-service, parent meetings and weekly staff meetings
Estimated workdays and hours:
Monday - Friday, 3 hours daily (2:30 - 5:30 pm or 3:00 - 6:00 pm)
Through the end of May
2023 - 2024 Salary:
Starting at $28.70 - $35.87 per hour
