Job Details
Responsible for upkeep of company vehicles, trucks, tractors, and other mechanical equipment. Must be comfortable working around animals. Will not be required to be with wild animals unsupervised but will have to work near animals and exhibits.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age or older
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Pass a pre-employment drug test after offer of employment is made
- Hold a valid Driver's License
- Full-time applicants must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and/or holidays
- Part time applicants must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours per week and be available weekends
- General working mechanical and auto repair knowledge
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Small & large engine repair and maintenance
- Ability to diagnose and work on
- Welding and metal work experience a plus
- Ability to drive & maneuver trailers
- Complete assigned tasks with a positive attitude
- Demonstrate initiative
Pay rates
Entry level admissions/retail employee base rate is $12.00
Entry level zookeeper base pay rate is $13.00 and up depending on experience
Entry Level education staff / bus drivers base pay rate is $12.00 and up depending on experience
Entry level maintenance positions base pay rate is $15.00 and up depending on experience and part-time/full-time status
