Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor must be able to see the big picture as well as the finer details. You will deal day-to-day activities, as well as larger aims and setting goals. A systematic organized approach to work is vital. The Warehouse Supervisor must demonstrate a high level of Leadership and Accountability and is responsible for all aspects of Nobelus Operations in Knoxville and third-party locations.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Planning and organizing the production, shipping, receiving, and warehouse departments
  • Ensure that daily production and shipping schedules are met, and backlog is effectively managed
  • Work closely with the Elgin, IL based Production Team, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Scheduler, etc.
  • Assessing staffing capacity, OT needs and resource requirements
  • Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
  • Work closely with QC/Compliance to ensure and maintain the highest level of quality and safety
  • Managing departmental costs
  • Warehouse Management for 3rd party warehouse rental space and overall performance and accountability of these locations
  • Building Maintenance Management
  • Manage production scheduling
  • Manage overstock and rework initiatives
  • Execution of new Operational Model
  • Ensure all operational responsibilities are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
  • Improve the management systems, processes, and best practices
  • Communicate with departments as needed
  • Perform quality controls and monitor operational performance metrics
  • Recruit, train, develop, and supervise staff
  • Ability to drive LEAN and other continuous improvement projects
  • Any other tasks deemed necessary and appropriate by Supervisor


Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

Pay: $55,000 - $60,000 / year

Requirements

  • Experience in supervision of 5-10 staff employees required
  • Minimum of 5 years as an operations supervisor required
  • Experience in industrial converting or single stage manufacturing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness
  • Experience in cost control
  • Proficient MS Office
  • Strong technical skills
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems a plus
  • Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment.

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis
  • Must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, and twist on a daily basis
  • Must be able to stand for an extended period of time on a daily basis
  • Ability to work on weekends if necessary
