**Position Description:**

This position offers challenges and opportunities coordinating sales orders through the production, coating and shipping process. The Hardboard Scheduler predicts, plans, and prepares all schedules to establish sequence and lead time for production, coating and shipping according to sales forecasts and/or customer orders.

**Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**

* Coordinate orders into production schedules to best maximize press efficiency, utilization of material and machining.

* Monitor and communicate schedule progress. Maintain, monitor and communicate available surplus floor inventory. Manage inventory within Lumber Track to continue stock rotation.

* Prioritize orders and customer needs to excel in customer satisfaction.

* Conduct physical inventory counts for monthly and quarterly financial tracking.

* Learn to coordinate and schedule transportation with vendors and customers at time of order completion. Both truck and rail as a required back up to the Logistics / Inside Sales position.

* Assist sales office as needed with sales questions, customer service, order processing and telephone coverage.

* Effectively communicate and coordinate production, coating and shipping schedules.

* Assist in finding solutions to customer concerns/problems in order to achieve timely resolution.

* Lead and participate in teams working on opportunities to promote manufacturing excellence.

* Manage center orders with coating and shipping supervisor.

* Participate and lead company environmental stewardship and sustainable manufacturing practices.

**Position Requirements:**

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Working knowledge of manufacturing processes is desirable.

* Computer skills including spreadsheet, word processing, and data base familiarity.

* Ability to occasionally work around moving machinery, in indoor and outdoor conditions that include inclement weather (cold, heat and humidity) as well as high noise levels.

* Regularly ascend/descend stairs to carry out daily duties.

* Ability to set and modify priorities and work independently.

* Ability to work holidays and weekends if the shipping crew is working.

* Verbally communicate effectively through high noise levels for ones own safety as well as the safety of those in the immediate area; must frequently be able to hear in, and work in, high noise level environments and speak at levels that can be heard and understood in high noise level environments.
