POSITION SUMMARY

Our client is a rapidly growing and dynamic multinational company. They are a market leader in designing, manufacturing, branding, and communication tools. We are recruiting for a Business Development Manager for their reseller business development team. The right candidate for this role will have three or more years of experience selling specifically to resellers in the funeral/bereavement industry and be willing to work on-site in the Alpharetta office. This is a ground-floor opportunity with the ability to establish a new vertical in the US.


Objective: Prospect, qualify, present, secure, and grow value-added reseller partners in the specific market vertical of the Funeral/Bereavement industry. Also, close new direct business with large corporations in the United States.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prospect for potential resellers using various direct methods such as Linked In, association lists, Web search, referrals, and indirect methods such as networking, trade shows
  • Cold calling via telephone, email, and face-to-face meetings
  • Work with business development representatives to build and execute lead-generation strategies.
  • Build relationships with new resellers and secure contracts that achieve assigned sales quotas.
  • Qualify the prospective leads: compatible products, customers, sales team, and distribution.
  • Consult with resellers about business requirements and solutions to drive their sales.
  • Sell the program via phone, video, email, field visits, webinars, and showcase days.
  • Draft, present, and close senior managers and decision-makers
  • Agree plans for resellers to prospect, qualify, present, and close to their customers.
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing, driving reseller sales and post-sales service.
  • Update daily sales pipeline with notes on prospects and reseller interactions.
  • Forecast likely deals and annual sales volumes.
  • Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace.
  • Develop expert knowledge of company products and pricing.
  • Meet or exceed quotas for reseller partners.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time after the first year.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-6 years of proven sales experience, with at least 3 years selling in the Funeral/Bereavement Industry.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented sales professional
  • Ability to hunt (land new resellers) and herd (train and motivate them to sell)
  • Proven partner development and relationship building
  • Skilled at cold calling, overcoming objections, and consultative selling
  • Thrive in a quota-driven environment.
  • Ability to deliver independently and as part of a team
  • Positive and professional presentation, attitude, and communication skills
  • Bachelor s degree preferred, not an absolute requirement if you have proven sales experience
  • Quick learner
