POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Coordinator is accountable for all communication aspects pertaining to Plant and Production Operations. Primary responsibilities include shop order processing, daily metric maintenance/administration for DMP reporting, and provide support to safety, employees, quality, production, engineering, and special projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position requires the ability to plan, control, maintain and analyze production and sales requirements, compare progress to time schedules, resolve scheduling conflicts, assess data, and coordinate manufacturing solutions, having some interface with financials and directly impact to inventory metrics.

Manufacturing Support:

  • Coordinate with Master planning and analyze manufacturing shop orders to ensure data is within product specifications.
  • Prepare and print shop orders to (if required) for the manufacturing teams - Align to master schedule.
  • Create and print QA document booklets for shop orders.
  • Manage transactions related to the IFS, coordinating flow of materials and labor inside and outside the manufacturing plants:
    • Receiving into inventory
    • Issuing raw materials consumed
    • Review labor hours on shop orders
    • Transferring to applicable warehouse(s)
  • Open and close jobs accurately once completed in Manufacturing and Testing.
  • Support manufacturing quality reviews on production jobs and documentation:
    • Ensuring products are made to specifications.
    • Maintaining accuracy of the manufacturing database.
    • Coordinate NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) When required.
  • Coordinate inventory counts (cyclic and physical) including generating controls related to variances.
  • Support IFS training(s) for shop floor employees.
  • Creation, communication, and maintenance of the daily dashboard metrics.
  • Maintain and update site DMP board metrics daily.
  • Create and upload to SharePoint a MPR (Monthly Performance Report).
  • Assist improvement of manufacturing processes by supporting production for all special projects.
  • Assist in organizing the collection of material requisitions and sales samples.


HSE (Health, Safety and Environment):
  • Maintain a safe working environment by aligning with corporate safety guidelines, regulations, and ensuring a safety culture towards IIF (Incident and Injury Free).
  • The generation and sustainment of SOP's, competency assessments. ASAs
  • Support data entry and record keeping meeting environmental and regulatory requirements (Ex.: air emissions and waste management).
  • Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives.


Operational Excellence:
  • Identifies production documents that require modification, updates, and improvements.
  • Provide support to the production team and operational excellence teams in the development of 5S and housekeeping practices, downtime reduction and material variances (wastes).
  • Support plans to drive efficiencies and first-time quality, using SMS tools (Ex.: Gemba walks, VSM - Value Stream Mapping and A3 problem solving).


Secondary Duties:
  • Performs other duties as required to ensure the success of the business unit(s).
  • Create Daily/weekly manufacturing downtime/dashboard report for Operations meeting.
  • Support, present and drive quarterly town hall slide show(s).
  • Order and coordinate social event(s) lunches.
  • Perform reviews and accurate cost allocation to invoices as required.
  • Coordinate purchase requisition(s) for manufacturing, and maintenance.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following safety rules and regulations.
  • Track and maintain hazardous material receipts and shipments.
  • Report monthly ERC to HSE.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of shop order process.
  • At least 2 years of direct experience.
  • Associate degree required.
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of ERP (IFS) systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) skills.
  • Must have good verbal and interpersonal skills to analyze and presents the right issues in a clear, concise, persuasive, and logical manner, both orally and written.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes.
  • Adaptable to and sensitive to the need for changes: open mindedness.
  • Proactivity and positive attitude.
  • Calmly brainstorm solutions under pressure.
