Job Type:Full-Time
Pay:$17.84-$23.73 Based on years of experience and Degree or Non-Degree
Available Schedule: Day Shift with occasional evenings and weekends required.
Position Summary:
Develop and design programs that improve residents' quality of life in various ways in both Assisted Living and Long-Term Care centers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assess new residents' skills and abilities.
- Create goals with residents and design programs to reach those goals.
- Implement therapeutic activities into individual and group sessions and monitor progress.
- Work with the Interdisciplinary Team to assess programs and improve/adapt programs.
- Maintain records documenting treatment attempts, interventions, and progress notes.
- Obtain any needed materials or activities and programs.
- Uphold and maintain regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Background in Health Services or related fields required.
- Activities Certification through NCCAP is preferred or candidates must be willing to obtain it within the first 90 days of employment.
- Background in Recreational Therapy is encouraged but not required.
