The Dishwasher maintains the kitchen area and is responsible for the sanitation of all cooking and eating utensils.
Essential Functions:
Safety operate dish washing machine; properly stack dishes, presoak dishes, examine dishes and other eating utensils for cleanliness when cleaning cycle completed.
Replace all clean dishes and eating utensils into appropriate storage areas.
Clean ovens, hoods, filters, drains, hot boxes, steam tables, flat boxes and ceiling vents, according to established schedule, or as directed by management.
Clean walls, tables, racks, sinks, floor mats and disposal areas; polish stainless steel.
Empty all kitchen trash cans that are more than full at end of shift; wash cans and replace in kitchen
Sweep and mop kitchen floors, as needed; clean up spills immediately.
Assist restaurant staff with special projects to ensure that guests receive quality service
Other duties and special cleaning projects as assigned by management
Job Specifications:
Ability to safely operate the dishwasher, garbage disposal and cleaning equipment.
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain customer focus
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to follow corporate and brand standards and procedures
Experience and Education:
High School education or equivalent work experience
1+ years of experience in food services is highly desirable
Minimum training required per year as assigned by the company
Any additional training required by manager
Work Environment:
This job operates in a hotel kitchen environment. This role routinely uses standard kitchen equipment
Exposure and use of chemical cleaning solutions.
This position primarily works inside but may go outside for purposes of emptying trash only.
Work days and work hours may vary.
