Job Details
We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Web Designer to work with our client for a two week project. This person will play a key role in the creation and implementation of their web branding strategy for a variety of audiences. The Successful candidate should have experience using tools like Figma, have a solid understanding of website layout in WordPress and are adept at creating meaningful and relevant logos intended for web use.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Designing engaging and responsive web layouts using WordPress.
- Ensuring user experience determines design choices.
- Developing features to enhance the user experience.
- Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.
- Ensuring websites are optimized for smartphones.
- Building reusable code for future use.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with a keen eye for detail.
- Designing visuals imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients.
- Working with different content management systems.
- Testing and improving the design of the website.
- Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
- Creating website logos and banners with branding in mind.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Web Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven understanding of graphic design fundamentals.
- Demonstrated proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and other visual design tools.
- Experience with Figma and other relevant design tools is a prerequisite.
- Proficient with front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery.
- Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems.
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
- Understanding of SEO principles.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Excellent visual design skills.
- Ability to work in a team or individually.
