About the Company Hiring: Our client is a regional service and distribution company with operations throughout the Northeast.

About the Job: The Fuel Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with residential, agricultural, and commercial clients to sell fuel products and services. You will identify prospective customers, negotiate contracts, and ensure customer satisfaction to drive sales growth and revenue. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of the fuel industry.

  • Formulate and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales goals and targets.
  • Identify potential commercial clients through lead generation methods such as cold calling, networking, customer visits, and referrals.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers; research their needs and customize sales presentations accordingly.
  • Foster and sustain strong relationships with current clients to ensure high levels of customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to secure advantageous agreements.
  • Work closely with internal teams including operations, logistics, and customer service to ensure timely delivery and exceptional service.
  • Oversee payment terms, pricing, invoicing, and order fulfillment processes.
  • Generate reports on sales activities, market trends, and competitor analysis for management review.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to refine sales strategies as needed.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote products and services.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly to maintain strong customer relationships and loyalty.


Minimum Requirements:
  • AS Degree or higher education, or equivalent industry-related experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in commercial sales, preferably in the fuel or energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of fuel products, pricing structures, and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software(s).
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.


Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 base + Commission

Work Style: Remote with frequent travel throughout the Finger Lakes region & quarterly trips to Syracuse, NY.
