Childrens Home Society is currently seeking a Relief Cook to prepare meals and snacks for residential, day students, and on-duty staff in accordance with the organizations Mission Statement and Core Values.
**What You'll Do:**
Your responsibilities as a relief cook would include:
* Fulfill menu requirements and serve meals.
* Wash pots and pans, trays, dishes, etc.
* Transfer needed items from freezer to refrigerator for next-days meals.
* Take out kitchen trash to outside trash bins.
* Cover, label and date all suitable leftovers for storage.
* Take and record food temperatures at mealtime.
* Maintain personal cleanliness, as well as cleanliness of the kitchen and storage areas.
* Take and record refrigerator, freezer and dishwashing machine temperatures

**Schedule:** 9:30am-6:00pm, every other weekend and every other holiday. Relief work will be during these hours and days.
**Compensation**: $17.00/hr + experience
Requirements Experience/Education/Skills:
High school degree or GED preferred; must be at least 18 years of age. Some experience in quantity food production desirable.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requires standing for extended periods of time. Exposure to tools, utensils, equipment, and cleaning materials, requiring attentive and safe utilization.
