Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. Day to day operations include R&D related precision aerospace parts and managing all project aspects from quoting to shipment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Manage customer projects, including budget costing, scope details, customer communications, and project tracking for aerospace/defense manufacturing components
- Initializes and coordinates all project kick off meetings and works with the internal and external customers to develop finalized manufacturing plans and solutions
- Coordinates with internal staff such as quality department, design department, instrumentation/testing, and finance for any necessary support in a project to prevent future issues
- Develops and assists with all quoting efforts to ensure profitable and on time projects.
- Works with outside vendors to determine product specifications/quotes and submit purchase requests for equipment or parts/services
- Responsible for coordination and approval/release of job routers to manufacturing floor for production
- Responsible for following quality systems procedures as required
Skills:
- Bachelor s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (Similar industry may be considered)
- 3+ years prior engineering experience preferred
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience, Aerospace industry experience preferred
- High-level experience with the capabilities/limitations of all CNC machines and welding equipment
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering blueprints and models; CAD experience is preferred
- Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrate the ability to develop creative solutions to issues and apply the use of learning curves
