Hellas Construction, Inc., The #1 Sports Construction company in North America, is seeking an energetic and motivated Bilingual Benefits Administrator to join our fast-paced team in Austin. MUST BE BILINGUAL (ENGLISH/SPANISH).
The Benefits Administrator oversees daily operations of group benefits programs and collaborates with HR and payroll teams for smooth processing. They also address and resolve employee benefit-related issues.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
- Coordinate data transfer to external contacts for services, premiums, and plan administration.
- Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations, including timely and accurate reporting.
- Handle daily benefits processing, including enrollments, terminations, changes, and compliance testing.
- Maintain employee benefits files, group benefits database, and update payroll records.
- Reconcile bills and balance reports for accuracy of billing.
- Allocate group health and dental claims monthly and review quarterly.
- Provide customer service support to internal and external customers.
- Advise employees on the details of the company's benefit programs and resolve benefit-related issues.
- Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate processing of employer contributions and deductions.
- Process leaves of absence requests, disability paperwork, and FMLA.
- Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations and open enrollment.
- Provide training and support to associates and field staff.
- Process termination paperwork and communicate with appropriate departments.
Education and Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, and experience with HRIS and benefits databases.
- Project and team management/leadership skills.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong planning and priority-setting skills.
- Analytical skills and thorough knowledge of plan designs.
- Ability to understand and evaluate proposals (RFPs).
- Knowledge of benefits contract language and federal/state regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field; relevant experience can substitute education (some college or associate degree acceptable).
- Minimum three years of experience in benefits coordination or administration.
- Preferred certifications: SHRM-CP or PHR and CEBS.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
