SENIOR ACCOUNTANT


BGSF has partnered with a large company in HOUSTON, TX that is looking for a Senior Accountant. This Senior Accountant is responsible for valuation projects, analysis, and more. Other responsibilities include:


  • Oversees the planning, scheduling, and completion of valuation projects to ensure prompt, top-tier client service that aligns with or surpasses expectations and deadlines.
  • Collaborates with legal, operational, and managerial teams to strategize integration plans. Generates Opening Balance Journal entries, Business Combination Notes, and Purchase Price Allocations for acquisitions.
  • Manages due diligence data rooms by collecting, organizing, scrutinizing, and validating information and documents.
  • Analyzes financial records, including Asset Purchase Agreements, Closing Statements, Property Appraisals, Income Statements, Non-Compete and Consulting Contracts, IFRS 16 Leases, Inventory, FF&E, Trust Statements, AP and AR, etc.
  • Performs detailed financial and valuation analysis and modeling, employing methods such as discounted cash flow analysis.
  • Collaborates with External Business Valuations Team for comprehensive valuation reports on significant acquisitions.
  • Determines fair value of acquired company assets and liabilities, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
  • Allocates purchase price to assets (goodwill, tangible assets, and intangible assets) and liabilities based on estimated fair values.
  • Manages Due To/From Seller/Buyer account and ensures appropriate cutoff.
  • Liaises with auditors, corporate development, tax professionals, and stakeholders to resolve financial or reporting issues.
  • Communicates with senior management, staff, sellers, and stakeholders, serving as a key resource.
  • Drafts accounting memos for unusual or non-routine transactions related to purchases.
  • Records consolidation entries, intercompany transactions, and accounting adjustments.
  • Supports internal team members with accounting, financial, audit, and ad-hoc reporting as required.
  • Actively engages in enhancing internal processes and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.



REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience with acquisitions
