Finding the right fit:

The Transportation Division of Ayres is seeking a Transportaton/CADD Technician. The successful candidates will have an active role in performing diverse transportation services within the Transportation Services Tampa Group at Ayres. Transportation services, including construction and design, are provided from our Tampa office to the Florida Department of Transportation, as well as counties and municipalities in Florida.This position may also assist with land survey, utility engineering, and other engineering services projects.

On any given day, you'll:

  • Work under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer in the preparation of a variety of transportation projects.
  • Produce plans using a CADD workstation, calculate quantities, dimensions, grades, and computations relating to design.
  • Responsibilities may also include traffic counts.


Required qualifications:

  • A two-year degree in Civil Engineering Technology.
  • 0 - 5 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D preferred with a background in CADD drafting experience.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record are required as fieldwork is an emphasis.


Desired skills and experiences:

  • Experience in construction observation and/or transportation and/or traffic design, and/or land surveying is a plus.
