YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Summary:

This is a role for someone who is intimatelyfamiliar with functional blends and premixes used in the food industry. Theright person will have hands on experience with formulating blends of gums andtextural stabilizers used in food applications such as dairy, bakery,beverages, processed foods, pet foods.The role primarily entails working with sales, formulating new blendsbased on customer needs, validating blend functionality in finished productapplications, defining blend specifications and testing criteria, assistingoperations in scaling up benchtop blend recipes to full scale production. Thecandidate will be familiar with general consumer trends, food regulations, andall basic food safety protocols. and must be able to communicate effectivelywith technical and commercial team members. In this role, the candidate willhave high visibility as part of the broader Colony Gums-Brenntag's 'Innovationand Applications' team.

Project types could include creating competitivematches, cost reduction, innovative functional blends.

YOUR PROFILE

Education and Experience:
  • B.S. of M.S. Degree, Food Science
  • 5-10 years of work experience in a food company specializing in mixing & blending hydrocolloids and other functional ingredients
  • Hands-on dry blend formulation experience
  • Knowledge of food processing and operations
