As the **Inventory Control Clerk** you will make inventory adjustments as required for inventory counts, scrap, product substitutions, and warehouse/customer returns.

**WHERE YOU WILL WORK**

In our ClosetMaid Ocala facility. A 600,000 square feet manufacturing facility.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

Make inventory adjustments as required for inventory counts, scrap, product substitutions, and warehouse/customer returns. Work with Customer Service on billing orders for Distribution Centers. Input receipts into AS400 system for Puerto Rico and Hawaii as these locations do not have AS400 access.

Inventory Transfers:

* Analyze inventory requirements for the offsite distribution centers.

* Works with Distribution Centers to bring back overstocked inventory at each location.

* Prioritize part numbers & quantities to meet inventory levels and insure products ship.

* Generate transfer tickets and reconcile transfer discrepancies between DC and Ocala.

* Schedule trailers, curtain sides, and containers.

* Monitor promotions and new store openings in DC locations to maintain appropriate

* inventory levels.

Distribution Centers Inventory Cycle Counts:

* Monitor inventory cycle count programs and bin locations at each Distribution Center.

* Determines necessary counts and recounts of products.

* Enter inventory count results into an inventory-tracking database and AS400.

* Work with Distribution Centers and Accounting on Physical Inventory reconciliation.

* Conduct error investigation by accessing and analyzing perpetual inventory system.

* Determine root cause of inventory inaccuracies at Distribution Centers.

* Recommend corrective actions to eliminate root causes.

**REQUIREMENTS**

* High School Diploma/GED or 4-6 years of Experience

* Must be familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)

* Ability to work in a team environment, manage projects and root cause analysis.

* Ability to maintain regular attendance.

* Must be able to work overtime as business need dictates.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT**

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand on concrete floor with/without floor mats; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms (which may include above and/or below shoulders); bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to use left and/or right hand for simple grasping; fine work, pushing/pulling and low speed assembly. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally life and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
