To be considered for this position, you must meet the minimum qualification listed below:
High School diploma or GED, PLUS
I. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris, Business, Public Administration Degree or closely related field PLUS one (1) year of experience in the field of animal care or control AND one (1) year of supervisory experience;
OR
II. Master s Degree in Veterinary Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Business, Public Administration, or a related field PLUS three (3) years of experience as described in I. AND one (1) year of supervisory experience;
OR
III. Bachelor s Degree in Veterinary Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Business, Public Administration, or a related field PLUS Five (5) years of experience as described in I. AND one (1) year of supervisory experience;
OR
IV. Eight (8) years of experience as described in I. AND three (3) years of experience supervising others.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Possession of a valid New York State Class D Operator s license at time of appointment. This must be maintained throughout employment with this job.
- Requires euthanasia technician certification within one year after date of hire.
