Accounting Coordinator


Job Details

Keller Schroeder, an information technology firm in Evansville, IN, is seeking an Accounting Coordinator to join our administrative team! The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly accounting activities, which includes managing and maintaining financial records, with a particular emphasis on processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. This role will also perform a range of general bookkeeping and accounting tasks.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and payment disbursements
  • Review and post weekly accounts receivable sales invoices and monthly services invoices
  • Process and reconcile daily deposits
  • Monitor daily cash balances
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Generate and review weekly and monthly time reports
  • Prepare bi-weekly payroll
  • Review and fund 401(k) contributions
  • Process journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Balance sales tax accounts and returns
  • Review sales commissions
  • Assist Manager of Finance in preparing financial statements and preparing for external audits
  • Participate in the development and implementation of improved accounting procedures
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations


Minimum Requirements:

  • On-site position reporting to office headquarters located in Evansville, IN
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of related experience, to include experience with payroll, accounts payable and receivable processing and best practices, bank and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts, financial management, and financial accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and accuracy with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must possess ability to maintain confidentiality, have a strong work ethic, and be self-motivated.


Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Previous experience with Paylocity
  • Previous experience with Sage Intacct
