Purpose

The primary role of the Events/Drives & Volunteer Manager is to manage Housing Families event program. They serve a lead role in executing the comprehensive events program, as well as strategies to increase event fundraising revenue and corporate and volunteer engagement.They manage our volunteer program and identify new areas to engage volunteers and relieve programmatic needs. The Events/Drives & Volunteer Manager is also responsible for supervising our in-kind donation drives.Responsibilities

Plan and execute fundraising events and donor engagement/appreciation events. Secure event sponsors, in-kind donations, etc. Lead all aspects of logistical planning, strategy, and marketing for the event.

This includes our two feature events: the Annual 5K and the Legislative Breakfast.

Collaborate with the Director of External Relations, as well as the Development team & Development Committee, on event sponsor strategyPartner with Director, Grants & Contracts to ensure no overlapping strategies on corporate donors for event and grant funders.Tracking on key performance indicators (KPIs) for events, such as attendees and total raisedResearch prospective sponsors and record information. Maintain all relevant data in Raiser s Edge databaseAttend community events and networking opportunitiesCollaborate Development Associate on in-kind drives and events.

This includes the Annual Holiday Drive, Backpack Drive, and Client Appreciation Event.

Employ strategic and creative skills to deepen our volunteer program and connect program needs with opportunities for volunteers to give back

Coordinate volunteer projects, with a focus on engaging corporate donor teams

Support Board engagement through event participation and volunteer projectsStay up to date on best practices within the fundraising world to implement as needed.Use the Principles of Community-Centric Fundraising (CCF) and ethical storytelling in all aspects of job description to root our fundraising in racial and economic justiceWe believe that to be successful in this position, it is crucial that the candidate can honestly assess their strengths and determine that they include:Ability to communicate to various audiencesExcellent writing, organizational and public speaking skillsStrong and mature interpersonal skills at all levels internally & externallyStrong project management and organizational skillsQualifications/Requirements

Qualifications

Must have extensive event management and event fundraising experience1-2 years of experience managing volunteersProven record of increasing event fundraising participation growthEligibility Requirements

Compensation/Hours:
