Nurse Manager of Medical Surgical
Our client hospital, a 190-bed, Level IV Trauma, flagship facility, is seeking their next Nurse Manager of Medical Surgical. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Nurse Director, the Nurse Manager is responsible for the direction and coordination of all functions in the unit to include ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care provided.
- Provides support to the nursing unit on operational metrics such as productivity, behavioral based competencies, and Kronos.
- Works with Director to ensure that staffing grids, and FPC are up to date and current needs are reflected.
- Works directly with House Supervisors to provide appropriate and timely admission to the facility taking into account current census, inpatient emergency transfers, acuity of the patient, and services provided at each location.
- Works with Director, House Supervisor, CNO, and Nursing Administrators to ensure that high census surge plans are periodically reviewed and adjusted as service lines change, units close, open, or merge.
- Administer a 36-bed unit with approximately 60 FTEs
Required Work Experience:
- 5+ years of clinical Med/Surg experience
- 1+ year of nursing experience
Required Educational Experience & Certifications:
