Position Description
This position is in the Boise, ID office, working under the direction of the Project Manager. The Architectural CAD Designer takes direction from Project Managers and Job Captains to coordinate project information and to help develop schematic drawings, design development drawings, and full architectural construction documents. This position should have experience revising drawings based on "redline" comments, drawing site plans, reviewing and addressing jurisdictional comments and creating building sections, details, and elevations. The ideal candidate will have experience producing construction documents in the retail and commercial industries, and restaurant design experience is a plus.
This position would excel with someone that is versatile, innovative, and passionate about design. The position works in a fast-paced, fun, rewarding environment. Applicants should be self-motivated and product driven, with the ability to collaborate with the overall team to meet deadlines. Attention to detail, organization, and ability to follow CAD standards are essential.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Making revisions to drawings based on "redline" comments, drawing site plans, and creating building sections, details, and elevations.
  • Prior use of AutoCAD drafting software is required; use of Autodesk REVIT, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Project to complete assignments.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and ability to follow CAD standards are essential.
  • Assist in preparing construction documents with direction from Project Managers/Job Captains.
  • Assist in the preparation/coordination of entitlement packages.
  • Assist with construction administration duties including RFI's, submittals,
  • Full-time drafting experience in a professional setting is desired.
  • Experience with site planning, producing floor plans, and drafting architectural renderings.
Minimum Education and Skills Experience
  • The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years' experience producing construction documents in the retail and commercial industries, and restaurant design experience is a plus.
  • 2-3 years minimum experience using CAD for architectural design projects.
  • Knowledge of code and building systems.
  • Proficiency using AutoCAD (recent release) and Revit.
  • Working knowledge of graphics software, specifically SketchUp and Photoshop
  • Skilled at multitasking and working in a team environment; current experience in CA projects.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and work at a desk in an office environment for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle to job sites/ client meetings and/or plan submittals as required.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry and move plan sets that range in weight from 1lb - 20lbs with cart assistance.

Salary and Benefits
Salary range for position: $45,000/yr - $65,000/yr
