Debug Technician

Hours: 1st Shift 5 am - 2:30 PM working a 9/80 A work schedule

Job Summary

Provide first level technical support to the manufacturing process. Debug printed circuit boards and product level assemblies utilizing system diagnostics and product specific procedures.

Job Responsibility

  • Working from test procedures, electrical schematics, technical notes, diagnostics and component data sheets to identify and isolate the root cause of defective components, piece parts and sub-assemblies of failing products
  • Field board debugging and analyzing failure boards
  • Debugging WIP inventory control
  • Set-up and operate test equipment in accordance with standard test procedures.
  • Supporting maintenance of test equipment (proactive and reactive)
  • Control, document and process all non-conforming material.
  • Providing technical support in all areas of manufacturing in support of functional test.
  • Assisting engineering in the implementation of new test tools and support as needed
  • Quality of work-in-process
  • Cleanliness of work area and surrounding workspace
  • Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business

Required Qualification

  • Associate's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field, in lieu of degree 5+ years of experience in system test and debugging to the component level
  • Strong knowledge of Functional Test (FT) and debug
  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuits
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and IPC-610 requirements
  • Ability to interpret detailed drawings, schematics and diagrams
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently and quickly with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary
