seeking an Acquisition Analyst Action Officer local to the Alexandria, VA area.

TS/SCI clearance is required.

Onsite work is required.


Key Role:

Work with senior decision makers in the lead office responsible for acquisition policy and innovation that delivers warfighting capability at speed, with priorities to create, train, and implement the Adaptive Acquisition Framework and to support the development of data-driven decision making and providing acquisition data governance, access, and analytics. Leverage and gather input and feedback that is coordinated with subject matter experts to formulate recommendations for action, and strategic communication messaging in support of senior decision makers. Leverage expertise in cross-departmental communications to facilitate coordination of both short and long-term initiatives to improve capability delivery by the client.

  • Basic Qualifications:5+ years of experience with working for the DoD, Joint Service, or a Service-level staff office developing executive level briefings and deliverables
  • Experience with evaluating and overseeing program execution of near-term, mid-term, and long-term projects
  • Experience with performing evaluations, studies, and analyses in support of program oversight for DoD with respect to the PPBE system, the DAS, and JCIDS
  • Ability to support senior executives in task and calendar tracking, technical reviews of materials, strategic guidance, and programmatic recommendations, and the development of reports, information papers, presentation material, talking points, and official correspondence
  • Ability to perform technical writing, and incorporate and integrate the writing of others into a smooth, comprehensive, and readable technical document for senior-level consumption and consideration
  • Ability to interface smoothly and comfortably with program managers and engineers from the various Services, agencies, and combatant commands and program management offices in order to collect and assimilate required data
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Additional Qualifications: Experience with task management software, including CATMS and basic DoD staffing coordination processes
  • Experience with managing policy documents and congressional correspondence
  • Knowledge of Adaptive Acquisition Framework and related DoD 5000 Series Rewrite efforts
  • Knowledge of the DoD Manual for Written Material, including Correspondence Management
  • Possession of excellent editing skills
