**Job Description:**
Under immediate supervision, safely performs responsible skilled painting. Prepares wood, metal, plaster, sheetrock, masonry or other surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling cracks and holes, sanding and applying filters and base coats; paints surfaces with various types of paint, latex, varnish, shellac or enamel, using brushes, rollers or spray guns; performs incidental duties such as washing walls, cleans and maintains tools and equipment.
**Requirements:**
* 1-2 years of experience as a painter
* Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them
* Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques
* Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)
* Good basic math skills
* Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on ladders, lifts etc.
* Valid NC drivers license and transportation.
* Ability to work weekends if necessary.
* Adhere to all safety policies and practices.
* Skilled accurate application of paints and other finishes with brushes, striper, rollers or spray guns.
* Skilled operation and servicing of equipment used in this position.
* Ability to paint pavement, concrete floors, and signage.
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
**Pay Rate: 16.37/HR**
